Learning in a pair

If learning alone seems daunting, you can attend with a friend.  You warm up together and then time is spent individually.  The advantage is being able to watch someone else work and apply that to your own technique/physicality/performance skills.  And you can help each other practise!

Masterclasses for staff and students

Screen%20Shot%202021-06-11%20at%201.43_e

I present PD sessions for staff, designed to meet their current needs.  Do you want your singing staff to have a better working knowledge of vocal anatomy?  Do you want a universal language for singing in your school?  Do they want further training in acting through song and performance/presentation?

I have presented music theatre masterclasses at all of the vocational trainings in Melbourne including Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) and Box Hill Institute, plus Federation University Ballarat, and in London: Trinity College, Rose Bruford College and Guildford School of the Arts (GSA).

I can design a masterclass for your university, secondary school or vocational training students.  This could cover strategies for performance nerves, getting acting or musical detail into  performance, or physicalising the piece.

A month before your students' VCE exams each student could present their work for me to develop while other students audit.

Please contact me for a free consultation and quote.

Vocal Anatomy PD sessions for seconday teachers can also be booked through https://www.drewdowning.com.au/teaching-through-vocal-anatomy
